# Getting started with the Mini plan

__This guide helps you get value from Crisp Mini quickly, without overcomplicating your setup.__

The Mini plan is the first real step up from Free. It keeps the workspace easy to manage while unlocking some of the tools most teams need early on: ****4 seats****, ****shared email inbox****, ****shortcuts****, ****chat triggers****, ****internal notes****, ****unlimited conversation history****, ****internal search****, and your first included ****Hugo credits****. It is a strong fit when your support setup is becoming more collaborative and you want to start saving time.

| The ****Mini**** plan includes everything from the ****Free**** plan, plus the additional features listed below.
---

# Mini plan features

| ****Hugo**** is included starting from the ****Mini**** plan, with ****$5 of included AI credits****, which Crisp estimates at around ****90 automated conversations per month****.

__Main features unlocked:__

* ****4 seats included**** → expand from a small solo setup to a real team inbox
* ****Shared email inbox**** → centralize support emails with your chat conversations
* ****Shortcuts**** → save common replies and answer faster
* ****Chat triggers**** → send proactive messages based on visitor behavior
* ****Private notes**** → collaborate internally inside conversations

# Recommended setup

#### Teammates and shared inbox

Mini includes ****4 seats****, so this is usually the right moment to bring the rest of your team into the workspace.

Go to [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat) and open ****Settings → Workspace Settings → Operators and Teams**** to invite new operators.

| You can share [this operator onboarding guide](/en/article/getting-started-with-crisp-for-support-1ts8txn/) with new teammates, and use [this article](/en/article/how-do-i-invite-other-agents-to-my-inbox-1rsgzkh/) if you need help inviting them.

#### Shared email inbox

One of the biggest Mini upgrades is shared email. If support emails are still being handled separately, this is one of the best quick wins you can make.

Set up your mailbox so emails land directly in Crisp alongside live chat conversations.

| Follow [this guide to receive emails in Crisp](/en/article/how-to-receive-emails-in-crisp-wp7jug/).

#### Shortcuts

Once multiple people start replying in the same inbox, consistency matters. Use ****Shortcuts**** to standardize answers to your most common questions and speed up replies.

__Good first shortcuts to create:__

* ****Opening replies**** → greeting messages for common request types
* ****FAQ answers**** → shipping, pricing, refund, or technical basics
* ****Escalation replies**** → messages used when handing over to another teammate
* ****Closing replies**** → polite wrap-ups when an issue is resolved

| See [how to use shortcut replies](/en/article/how-to-use-shortcut-replies-1bmff5q/) and this [canned responses cheat sheet](https://crisp.chat/blog/canned-responses-cheat-sheet/).

#### Chat triggers

Triggers are one of the easiest ways to improve engagement without building a full automation strategy yet. A few targeted messages on key pages usually perform better than trying to automate everything at once.

Start with only a couple of high-intent pages, such as your pricing page, checkout flow, or a product comparison page.

| Learn how to [build your first trigger](/en/article/how-to-use-triggers-pq0znd/) and browse [trigger ideas](https://crisp.chat/blog/live-chat-triggers-25-ideas-customers-engagement/).

#### Private notes and mentions

As soon as multiple operators collaborate in the same inbox, ****Private Notes**** become essential. They let your team add internal context without exposing anything to the customer.

Use ****@mentions**** to bring the right teammate into the conversation when needed, and use notes to leave context before handing a conversation over.

#### Hugo

Mini includes your first Hugo credits, which makes it a good plan to test AI on a small, controlled scope before scaling further.

A good starting point is to train Hugo on a few clear FAQs and your website content, then evaluate its answers before activating it more broadly.

| Start with [Getting started with Hugo AI Agent](/en/article/getting-started-with-hugo-ai-agent-w6gbux/) and then improve its training with [your own resources](/en/article/training-hugo-on-your-own-resources-ijkdrl/).

# Next steps

Mini works best when you use it to standardize the basics: one inbox, one shared mailbox, a few saved replies, a few proactive triggers, and an initial Hugo setup.
