# How to export user data?

Crisp offers CSV export for your contacts. This export is available inside [Crisp CRM](https://crisp.chat/en/crm/), which is available from the Essentials plan.

If you need to export ****conversation data**** to another platform, there is currently ****no built-in export feature in the Crisp app for conversations****. Conversation exports are only possible through the ****API**** or via ****third-party tools**** such as Briskport.

# Export contact data as CSV

## 1. Retrieve your data

* Connect to [app.crisp.chat](https://app.crisp.chat)
* Go to the Contacts tab
* On the upper right corner, click on ****Action**** → ****Export**** contact profiles.
* Your contacts will then be exported. This can take a few minutes depending on how many contacts you have.
* You will receive a notification by email once the export is ready.

# Export conversation data

Conversation data cannot be exported from the dashboard at the moment.

To export conversations for use in another platform, you need to either:

* use the Crisp API
* use a third-party tool such as Briskport

If you are exporting large conversation volumes through the API and hit daily rate limits, your team can request a higher limit and it will be reviewed by our team.

# Limitations

* Contact exports are limited to 200K contacts (if you need to export more, please contact us).
* Conversation exports are not available as a native CSV export from the app.
