# Is the Magic Browse feature GDPR compliant?

****Magic Browse is an innovative feature we offer. You can help your customer and lead them through your website directly and easily.**** ****This feature is available on the Essentials & Plus plans.****

# How is it Working?

****MagicBrowse****
simply renders HTML and CSS contained on your website in an iframe on Crisp. It also reproduce mouse move and scroll.

# Is that GDPR compliant?

Crisp is not storing anything on servers and this feature is fully passive. Also MagicBrowse is hiding by default some values that might contain private/sensitive information like inputs.

By default, privacy settings are enforced, which require the user's permission in order to start the co-browsing session.

This can be controlled in: ****Settings > Chatbox Settings > Chatbox Security > User privacy choices (MagicType, MagicBrowse)****

|| Note that Crisp also respects "Do not track (DNT)" browser settings preferences. If enabled by the user, Crisp will not initiate the co-browsing session.

You can hide some custom information from MagicBrowse by using [this method](/en/article/how-to-prevent-elements-from-being-tracked-by-magicbrowse-ju7mcg/) to prevent custom elements being tracked by Magic Browse.

Finally, ****MagicBrowse**** is obviously scoped to the page your visitor is currently browsing on your website. We will never have access to your user’s browser or desktop.

||| However, if you are still afraid of the feature, and you don’t want to use this feature, you can disable it totally in the plugin section.
