# How to activate the Dark Theme

__Learn how to switch your Crisp dashboard to Dark Mode from your account settings.__

Dark Mode changes the appearance of your Crisp dashboard for your own account. It is useful if you prefer a darker interface while working in the Inbox or settings.

# Activate Dark Mode

You can enable Dark Mode directly from your Crisp account interface settings.

__To activate Dark Mode:__

* Go to [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat)
* Open ****Settings**** from the bottom-left corner
* Navigate to ****Settings → Account → Interface****
* Choose ****Dark Mode****

Your preference is applied to your dashboard once the option is selected.

| Dark Mode is an account interface preference. It does not change your chatbox theme or the appearance visitors see on your website.
