How to Create Product Categories in Dokan Cloud


Categories provide a logical and hierarchical structure that makes it easier for customers to browse and find the products they're looking for. Product categories also help increase the conversion rate because they assist the customers in finding what they are looking for.


In Dokan Cloud, not only can you create categories but also apply attributes to them as well.


In order to create a category, go to *Products--> Categories* and click on the *New Category* button.

Now, add the category name, image, parent category (if there are any) and write a description. Hit the Save button to finish.

Also, you can Edit or Delete a category by clicking on "..." button-

Attributes in Categories


You can create attributes related to categories. This will help you add global attributes to all the products in the same categories. It will save you a lot of time because otherwise you will need to create attributes for every single product. Also, you can use these attributes for filters in the categories page.


Click on the *Edit* button of the category you have already created-

hen, you need to click on the *Add Atrribute* button-



You need to add a attribute in the pop-up window. If you want to use these categories as filter, then enable the *Use for Filter* option. Also, you can only use filters for *Select, Checkbox, Multiselect, Radio options-*



You can click on the Done button after you are finished.


If any customer selects the category from the shop or any other page, then they will see the attributes associated with them and filter products with those attributes-
