# How to install the Crisp live-chat chatbox on Joomla?

__This article explains how to add Crisp Live Chat to a Joomla website.__

The Crisp Joomla extension lets you install the chatbox from your Joomla administrator panel and link it to your Crisp workspace without manually editing your website code.

||| The Joomla extension is an older integration. Before using it in production, check the current compatibility details on the [Joomla Extension Directory](https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/crisp-livechat/), especially if your site uses a recent Joomla major version.

# Install the Crisp Joomla extension

Download the extension from the Joomla Extension Directory, then upload it from your Joomla administrator panel.

__To install Crisp on Joomla:__

1. Log in to your Joomla administrator dashboard.
2. Go to ****Extensions → Manage → Install****.
3. Download the [Crisp Livechat extension](https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/crisp-livechat/).
4. Use ****Upload Package File****.
5. Select the `` `crisp.zip` `` file.
6. Go to ****Components → Crisp****.
7. Click ****Link with Crisp****.
8. Follow the instructions to connect your Crisp workspace.
9. Open your website and check that the chatbox appears.
