How do Reminders work?

*Reminders are a convenient way of scheduling a note to yourself (or your team) in the future, for the current conversation. It can be used to remind yourself of a call you planned with an user.*

A reminder will then fire on the date you scheduled. You'll receive a notification on all your Crisp apps (Web & Mobile), with the reminder note you submitted.

Our team inbox will never let you down, set reminders to improve your customer service and never miss another follow-up.

This is the perfect tool to improve your CRM work for either your sales or support team.

When a reminder fires, it will automatically un-resolve the conversation, to ensure you and your team do not miss important notes.

How to schedule a reminder?

*Reminders can be set from your Crisp app* either by clicking on "Reminder" in a conversation, or by entering: ` `/remind ``.

Click on "Reminder" to schedule a reminder

*Once the reminder date picker opens, pick a quick date or choose to enter a custom date.* Validate, and then enter a reminder note (after the date). When you're done, hit ` `Enter `` to create the reminder.

Pick a reminder date

You must enter a reminder note in order to create your reminder. A note is required, as it will be sent along with the reminder notification when the reminder fires.

How to enter a manual date?

*A manual reminder date can be entered*, if none of the suggested dates fit. A date has the following format: ` `mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm ``.

*Where:*

  • ` `mm ` is "month" eg. `` `01 `` for January
  • ` `dd ` is "day" eg. `` `28 ``
  • ` `yyyy ` is "year" eg. `` `2019 ``
  • ` `hh ` is "hour" eg. `` `21 `` for 9pm
  • ` `mm ` is "minute" eg. `` `30 ``

*Examples:*

  • 16 April 2019, 3:25pm: ` `04/16/2019 15:25 ``
  • 8 June 2019, 1:00am: ` `06/08/2019 01:00 ``

Times are expressed in your local timezone, and then normalized when sent to Crisp to UTC. You need not think about timezones, as your local timezone is used when entering a custom date.

Can I cancel a scheduled reminder?

A scheduled reminder cannot be cancelled.

Who will be notified when a reminder fires?

*Crisp finds the most relevant operator to notify* when a scheduled reminder fires. It tries, in order of importance:

  1. Reminder author (if still in the team)
  2. Operator assigned to the conversation (if any)
  3. All operators (fallback)
